Authorities say a central Minnesota man has been caught in an undercover sting involving the solicitation of a child.

Matthew Piram, 32, of Big Lake, made his first court appearance in Stearns County recently. He allegedly messaged a decoy account online which was set up by the Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force.

Piram is accused of soliciting, who he believed was a 15-year-old girl, to engage in sexual conduct.

Court records show the initial conversation began in late September.

Piram was arrested and has been charged with two felonies including the solicitation of a child and describing sexual conduct with a child through electronic communications.

His next court date is set for for February 28th.
