Authorities in northern Minnesota say that two people were reportedly pinned inside a Chevrolet Tahoe after it crashed and struck trees in rural Hackensack.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the crash took place at Cass County Highway 5 in Birch Lake Township, rural Hackensack. Deputies and responders arrived on scene and found a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe had left the roadway, striking trees.

The driver, Joseph Manley, 61, of Hackensack and a passenger, Wendy Manley, 61, also of Hackensack, were pinned in the vehicle. The victims were removed from the vehicle and taken by helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation into the crash continues.
