Authorities in Wadena County say a male was found deceased about 75 feet from his vehicle Monday after being involved in a crash near Aldrich.

Authorities say the vehicle rolled near the intersection of Wadena County Highway 26 and 160th Street in Bullard’s Township near Aldrich. A caller had stated a male was lying outside the vehicle at the time and was believed to be deceased.

Deputies located a 2002 Nissan Maxima and the male was about 75 feet to the east of the vehicle lying in the field. Resuscitating efforts were attempted, but unsuccessful and the male was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office.

Investigations say the man was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, and exited the vehicle and then collapsed in the location he had been found from the vehicle.

The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.
