The Minnesota-based detachment of the 107th Maintenance Company are being deployed to Eastern Europe. They will reportedly provide maintenance support to U.S. service members and allied forces operating in the U.S. European Command area of operations.
Officials say that the ten soldiers were honored during a deployment ceremony at Camp Ripley on Thursday. The Minnesota detachment is part of the Sparta, Wisconsin, based 107th Maintenance Company and will join approximately 150 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers on the deployment.
The unit is comprised of mechanics, production controllers, signal support specialists, supply specialists, vehicle recovery experts, armament specialists, and a field feeding section. They will provide maintenance support to U.S. service members and allied forces operating in the theater.
