Authorities in Renville County are investigating an ATV crash that left a young boy dead over the weekend.

The crash took place Saturday morning in Martinsburg Township, south of Hector in Renville County. Authorities say that two boys were riding an ATV in a ditch when the vehicle rolled, killing 12-year-old Carsten Homan of Hector.

Officials say he was pronounced dead at the scene. The other boy reportedly was not injured in the accident.
