The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team is gearing-up for their next match-up on Thursday against Northwestern. 

In their last game, the Gophers lost to No. 5 Illinois on Saturday 94-63. Illinois was lead  by Ayo Dosunmu who had 19 points. It was Illinois' seventh win in a row.

Illinois improves to 16-5 overall and 12-3 in the Big Ten.

For Minnesota, Freshman Jamal Mashburn Jr. led Minnesota with 16 points and six rebounds.  The Gophers fall to 13-10 overall and 6-10 in the Big Ten.

The Gophers-Northwestern game will take place Thursday at Williams Arena. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
