The Minnesota Timberwolves finally won a game after going on a seven game losing streak as the Wolves defeated the San Antonio Spurs 96-88 on Sunday night at home.

D’Angelo Russell had 27 points and five rebounds to go with five assists to lead the Wolves to the win. He also had two late free throws that were both good to seal the win for Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Malik Beasley added 24 points and Naz Reid had 11 points in the victory.

For San Antonio, Lonnie Walker put in 25 points in the loss.

The Wolves are now 3-7 on the season.  Minnesota will host Memphis on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Target Center.
