Authorities in Becker County have identified a man pulled from the Pelican River over the weekend.

Authorities say that Randall Nelson, 57, of Detroit Lakes, was found dead in the Pelican River on Highway 10, of an apparent drowning.

On Saturday, a caller saw and reported a body in the creek bed to police. Officers responded and Nelson was removed from the river.

Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.  An autopsy is being conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office in St. Paul.  However, police say that there appears to be no signs of foul play.
