Authorities in Douglas County say a mobile home has been destroyed in a fire.  The fire took place on Monday after winds reportedly whipped up a fire on a farm near Kensington.

The fire took place at 8150 Dairy Dr. SW in rural Kensington. The farm is owned by Mark Fernholz.

The fire reportedly spread to bags of corn, through the grass, and to a mobile home. The mobile home is considered a complete loss.

Fire departments from Hoffman, Kensington, Brandon, Evansville and Garfield responded to the fire.

The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
