Bemidji State men's hockey head coach Tom Serratore has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Coach of the Year.

Serratore is in his 19th season as a coach. Serratore guided the Beavers to a runner-up finish in the WCHA during the regular season and a semifinal berth in the league playoffs before the season was cut short due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

BSU finished the season with a record of 22-10-5. They were ranked No. 11 in the final national polls released March 9 and No. 12 in the final Pairwise rankings.
