The No. 21 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers football team lost to No. 18 Michigan on Saturday 49-24.

Michigan quarterback Joe Milton had a great game throwing for two touchdowns and was 15 for 22 for 225 yards threw the air.  He also rushed eight times for 52 yards to lead his team to the win over the Gophers.

For Minnesota, Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns for the Gophers in the loss. The game was played at TFC Stadium in a nearly-empty stadium as only family members of players and staff, less than 1,000, were distanced throughout the lower bowl.

Michigan has not lost at Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug since 1977. The Gophers last won the trophy in 2014 on the road.

Minnesota will travel to Maryland on Friday night.
