With the talk of snow in the forecast, some Minnesota residents are wondering how bad the upcoming winter season will be for all of us.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is calling for above normal precipitation and near normal temperatures.

NOAA says that with La Nina well established and expected to persist through the upcoming 2020 winter season, they anticipate the typical, cooler, wetter North, and a warmer, drier South.

In August, the Old Farmer's Almanac unveiled its 2020-21 winter forecast and called for above normal snowfall for Minnesota.  The Old Farmer’s Almanac has been around since 1792.
