The National Weather Service is forecasting snow for parts of Minnesota this weekend.

Accumulating snow will be possible Saturday.  Some portions of northern Minnesota could see more than 2 inches of snow.  Some localized areas could pick-up four or more inches of snow.

The National Weather Service continues to track the potential for accumulating snow on Saturday. Models are indicating that a low-pressure system will move across the region.

Officials say that the track and strength of the models vary which leads to low confidence at this time in location and amounts of snow.

If the snow falls, this would be the first accumulating snow across the state this season.
