The Minnesota Department of Health has announced there will be no-barrier access to COVID-19 testing this week.

In Alexandria, the no-barrier testing site will be at 2310 Hwy. 29 S from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, through Thursday, Oct. 15.

Officials say the no-barrier testing is a response to the increased COVID-19 community spread statewide. The University of Minnesota is helping out with the testing.

The testing will be free for anyone, whether someone has symptoms or not. No insurance or identification is needed.

Other no-barrier testing locations throughout Greater Minnesota will be available this Tuesday-Thursday in Luverne, Aitkin and St. Cloud.
