Flooded streets and washed out roads were commonplace in southern Minnesota on Monday morning after a night of storms produced heavy rainfall.

Bird Island, in Renville County, reported 7.14 inches of rain, Miesville, in Dakota County, picked-up 5.54 inches of rain, while Raymond, in Kandiyohi County, reported 4.10 inches of rain.

More showers and thunderstorms will be likely Tuesday night into Wednesday where some additional heavy rain could fall.

Extreme western Minnesota back into parts of North Dakota and South Dakota has a slight risk of severe weather; while most of central, west central, southern, and northern Minnesota has a marginal risk of severe weather.

Large hail and damaging winds are the main concern from these storms.
