Authorities say a man has been killed in a crash in Pope County involving a semi.

According to the report, Josiah Michael Wright, 18, of Starbuck was killed Sunday when he was ejected from his vehicle following a head-on collision with a semitractor-trailer.

The crash took place on Pope County Road 18 just west of Highway 104, south of Glenwood.

Authorities say Wright was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The semi was driven by Steven Robert Nelson, 35, of Paynesville. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in Paynesville.

That incident remains under investigation
