The missing man from Kandiyohi County has been found safe after a massive search and rescue effort.

Donald Leroy Wieberdink, 83, of Prinsburg, was reported missing on Tuesday after going for a bike ride. Wieberdink was reportedly found Wednesday evening just east of Spicer.

Authorities say he was located barefoot and sunburnt, but in good spirits in bean field near the 11000 block of County Road 4 Northeast. He was taken to Carris Health — Rice Hospital in Willmar.

Almost 30 government agencies and groups assisted in finding him.  The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone for their help in locating Wieberdink.
