Two are injured in a crash near Alexandria
(Alexandria, MN)--On Monday afternoon, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a crash on County Road 4 Southwest near Little Mary Circle Southwest in rural Alexandria. Witnesses reported a green Subaru Legacy was traveling westbound on County Road 4 when it left the roadway and struck a large pine tree. Prior to emergency crews arriving on scene, several individuals reportedly stopped to help and pulled both occupants from the vehicle as it had started on fire. The driver, John Plusa, 92, of rural Alexandria, and his wife Mary Plusa, 86, were both taken to Alomere Health in Alexandria. Mary was later transported to St Cloud Hospital. Both are reportedly in stable condition. Assisting at the scene were the Holmes City First Responders, North Ambulance, and the Alexandria Fire Department.
