School in southwest Minnesota goes into lockdown as a precaution
(Milroy, MN)--A school in Greater Minnesota went into lockdown late last week. Officials say that Milroy Public School went under a brief lockdown Thursday as law enforcement was searching for a male suspect. He was eventually arrested. According to the report, the Redwood County Sheriff's Office was called for criminal threats of violence at an area resident. The suspect was in home and refused to come out. Law enforcement then began setting up a perimeter around the home. Due to the proximity to the school a brief lockdown was ordered during the incident.
Police say the suspect eventually surrendered. He was taken into custody without further incident.
