(St. Cloud, MN)--A woman from Tennessee was seriously injured as she tried to cross a busy highway in St. Cloud.  Officials say the incident took place at the intersection of Highway 10 and East St. Germain Street on Monday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says Nicole Woods, 25, of Memphis was crossing the eastbound lanes through congested traffic when she was struck. The driver of the eastbound car, Ava Sadio, 20, of St. Cloud was not injured.

Woods was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries.   The incident remains under investigation.
