(Beltrami County, MN)--Rescue crews reportedly helped get over 100 people who were stranded on a lake in Northern Minnesota to safety. The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office says Monday morning they received a 911 call from people who were fishing on Upper Red Lake.

A large chunk of the ice had reportedly broke free from the main shoreline stranding an estimated 100 people.  A narrow spot of the separation was found and a temporary bridge was deployed to evacuate the stranded fishermen. Everyone requiring evacuation from the ice were reached and brought to safety.

In total, officials say an estimated 200 individuals were evacuated from the ice.
