(Remer, MN)--Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has been killed after being ejected during a single-vehicle crash in northern Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash took place on Highway 200 in rural Cass County near Remer early Sunday morning.  The teen was reportedly driving westbound on Highway 200 when he approached a slight curve, and his car went airborne off the road.

The car landed sideways and started to roll. The teen was ejected from the vehicle.  Officials say he was not wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
