There was a British invasion of sorts in Alexandria on Thursday night.

The band, "Hard Day's Night," played in front of about 1,500 people on Thursday night during the Concert on the Courthouse Lawn as part of the summer series with the Red Willow Arts Coalition.

The band, out of the Twin Cities. plays all over the Upper Midwest and features the hits of the Beatles like "A Hard Day's Night", "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," and "Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."  The crowd enjoyed a nice late July evening, and people of all ages were on hand singing along to the hits.

Up next this coming Thursday at 7 p.m. it's the band "The Front Fenders" which features music of the 50s and 60s.
