More details are immerging about the crash that involved Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson in Douglas County.

The report say that Hutchinson was driving drunk at extremely high speeds in a county-owned vehicle.  The report says he was topping speeds of 126 mph before rolling over the vehicle on Interstate 94 last month near Alexandria.

Gov. Tim Walz, a fellow Democrat, says that Hutchinson should step down from his elected post. The sheriff has previously resisted calls for him to resign.

The report about the incident, says Hutchinson claimed that he'd called a cab and a cab driver had been driving his SUV at the time of the crash.

Hutchinson pleaded guilty last month to a misdemeanor charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent.
