A state representative from west central Minnesota has decided not to run this November for reelection.

State Representative Tim Miller, a Republican from Dist. 17A from Prinsburg, says he does not plan to seek another term.

Miller was first elected to the state legislature in 2014.  He says he plans to get involved in a newly-forming pro-life organization...

Miller says his intentions not to run for reelection this election season will give others more time to launch a campaign.

He says a big unknown is what will happen with re-districting.  Currently 17A makes up part of Swift, Chippewa, Renville, and a part of Kandiyohi County.

No word on who might possibly run for the seat.
